Missouri Mortgage Broker Requirements
Mortgage brokers in Missouri are licensed and regulated by the Missouri Division of Finance. Before issuing a license, the Division of Finance is required to investigate each applicant for character, general fitness, experience and financial responsibility.
Mortgage brokers seeking a Missouri mortgage license are required to maintain a physical office within the state of Missouri. Applicants must maintain a surety bond in the amount of $20,000. They must also submit financial statements and give consent for a complete background investigation.
Missouri Mortgage Licensing Fees
The state of Missouri charges a non-refundable investigation fee in the amount of $300. Upon completion of an investigation and final approval, a licensing fee in the amount of $300 shall be paid to the Division of Finance.
