Florida Correspondent Lender License
Obtain a Florida Correspondent Lender license through American Mortgage Licensing for only $500. One year of experience is required for the Principle Lending Manager of the business. The Principle Lending Manager must take a 24 hour class and pass the state exam. The company must submit recent audited financial statements showing a net worth of at least $25,000. The advantage to this license other than being able to fund and broker loans is that your loan originators to not have to be licensed individually. Companies can only service mortgages for 3 months under this license. If you wish to be able to service your loans, you will need to apply for the Florida Lender license which requires a net worth of $250,000. Please call for specific information on this license.

If Your Company Is Incorporated Outside Of Florida:
You will be required to file a Certificate of Authority to do business in Florida and you must have a Registered Agent in Florida. AM Licensing can provide a Registered Agent for the first 12 months for $100 and complete all of the necessary paperwork to approve your business in Florida for an additional cost of only $200. Your application fee for the Certificate of Authority will depend on whether your company is a corporation ($100) or a LLC ($150).
